Avon’s receipts for 2008 donations were placed in the church mailboxes on January 18th. Please store your receipt in a safe place until you file your income tax return for 2008. If you have questions, contact George Schroeder.
Avon Ladies Retreat is February 6-7. There are 3 spots left, confirm your attendance by getting your registration form to Anita Lebold soon!!
Jewels (55+) meeting for breakfast on Saturday, February 7 at 9:00 am, Arden Park Hotel. Wear something red!
A Congregational Meeting is planned for February 10, 7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room to discuss the 2009 budget.

Month of Guided Prayer, Feb 25 - Apr 1. During Lent you are invited to participate in a small group led by a prayer guide. Copies of the complete details and a registration form are posted beside the Youth Room. Registration deadline: Feb 6.
Hidden Acres Camp is hosting a “Family Day Retreat” Feb 16, 9:30am - 3:00pm. This is a fun-packed day including lunch and snacks. For details and cost, see the notice posted beside the Youth Room. Advance registration is required.
Tavistock Mennonite Church is hosted their first ever Pie Auction & Social, Feb 7 at 7:30pm. All proceeds will go to sending delegates to the World Conference in Paraguay. Everyone is welcome!

Opportunities in the Community…
All you can eat Spaghetti & Salad Dinner including drink and dessert (provided by the Avon Jewels) on April 6 at Black Angus Restaurant, Stratford. Proceeds are to send children to school in El Salvador. There are four seatings and take out. For tickets ($15) see Lynne Ternosky.
