Care Groups are starting again. A list of the current groups is posted on the Library door. If you are still interested in joining a group, please speak to a Pastoral Care Commission member.

Youth Focus begins on Wednesday, September 9th at 7:00pm. Watch for details…
Jr Youth - plan to come camping with us at ‘Jr Pitch 2009′, September 18-20th. An awesome weekend for everyone in gr6-9. Check your mailboxes for a registration form, or get one from Marion or Jane if we missed you!

Prayers: Joys & Requests…
Please continue to pray for Randy & Anita Lebold as they prepare to move to BC. They are looking for someone to rent their house - if you have some leads, please feel free to give the Lebold’s a call.
Please pray that the church in troubled regions like Southern Africa, Ethiopian and Sudan will be a voice of light, truth and grace. Pray for courage and strength for the mission workers in these regions.

MCC Donations needed. MCC Ontario is facing a million dollar shortfall as its August year end approaches. You are invited to make an August donation and help MCC to continue and grow their ministry of hope worldwide.
Sept 11-13, Building Community Retreat for people with disabilities, their families, and supporters at Hidden Acres Camp. Theme: “Healthy Approaches to Conflict” Brochures with details and registration forms are posted beside the Youth Room.
Volunteers Needed for Disability Retreat. A list of areas needing volunteers for the Sept 11-13 Building Community Retreat at Hidden Acres Camp is posted beside the Youth Room. This is a good service project for small groups.
It’s BBQ Season! Support the MCC Elmira Meat Canning Project by purchasing beef and pork burgers or regular and garlic sausage. Call 519-669-2462.
MCEC Water Bottles. New silver water bottles featuring the MCEC logo and dove in red are available for $20 from Margaret Oakey (mailto:moakey@mcec.ca).
Billet Homes Needed for Sep 4. One night may be required for the out-of-town volunteer construction crews involved with the MennoHomes “barn-raising” of 4 housing units in Wellesley. Please contact Jackie at MCC Ontario (519 745-8458) if you are able to provide bed and breakfast in the Wellesley area.
