Avon Winter Carnival - This Saturday at 3:00! fun for all ages! Featuring games, a pizza supper, and a jello contest (contestant = you!), ending the evening off with a movie. Please sign up at the youth bulletin board to help us order pizza. Feel free to invite your friends - extra flyers are available by the mailboxes.
Avon Ladies Retreat is February 6-7. There are 3 spots left, confirm your attendance by getting your registration form to Anita Lebold soon!!
A Congregational Meeting is planned for February 10, 7:30pm in the Multi-Purpose Room to discuss the 2009 budget. Please note the change of date.

Relief Kits for Gaza - ‘Content lists’ are available by the library; volunteers willing to take the kits to New Hamburg or Kitchener can please contact the office.
YOUTH…Wednesday, 7-9pm; Band practice followed by Focus and snack. Bring your music binders!

Prayers: Joys & Requests…
Jessica Boese (nee Nisbet) is transferring her membership as she and Shawn are becoming members at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg today. May God bless them as they worship and serve at North Kildonan.
Praise God for continued efforts toward peace and reconciliation by Pastor Xola of the Way of Life Church in Khayelitsha township and for other peacemakers near Cape Town, where high rates of unemployment (sometimes over 80%) and violence persist as reported by the Nighswanders from S. Africa.

Month of Guided Prayer, Feb 25 - Apr 1. During Lent you are invited to participate in a small group led by a prayer guide. Copies of the complete details and a registration form are posted beside the Youth Room. Registration deadline: Feb 6.
