Budget update to February 28th, 2010

In addition to our regular expenses, we also need to repair our heating system which will cost $11,000. Thank you for participating in the life and ministry of the church with your gifts of time, talents and finances.

Please pray that Mennonite Church Canada’s search committee will be able to bring unique gifts and perspectives together for a harmonious, Spirit-inspired vision as they seek a new General Secretary. Current General Secretary, Robert J. Suderman, retires later this year.

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast. All men are invited to come for fellowship and good food on March 13th at Arden Park Hotel, 8:30am in “the Porch” (space just off the diningroom).
Women of MCEC Stratford Cluster is meeting Sat., March 13, 9:30am-2:00pm at Nairn Mennonite Church. Theme: Acts of Kindness in the Storms of Life. See Women of Avon bulletin board for more information and sign up sheet.
M.C.C. Awareness Event. Everyone is invited for an inter-generational evening, March 20, beginning at 6pm with an international soups & breads supper followed by knotting comforters and packing kits. Admission is item(s) for health and school kits or a donation for items to complete the kits.
MISSION TRIP! Plans are now in place for an inter-generational ‘Learning Through Service’ trip to Montreal, July 6-12, 2010. If you would like to join Avon’s team, talk to Jane Kuepfer. Our youth are especially encouraged to come along!
